🔥🔥🔥 NYSE enters tokenization🚀🚀🚀
💪 NYSE (through its parent company ICE) is launching the development of a platform for trading tokenized stocks and ETFs.
Yes, this is not about a crypto startup, but about the New York Stock Exchange.
🔍 What they want and what should be:
👉 24/7 trading.
US stocks and ETFs will be tradable around the clock — without the “closing bell”.
👉 Tokenized securities.
Basically, traditional assets are moving on-chain.
👉 On-chain settlement.
Settlements directly on the blockchain, potentially with stablecoins.
👉 Fractional ownership + dollar orders.
You buy not “1 share,” but $50, $100, $1000 — like in DeFi.
👉 Integration with banks.
ICE is already working with BNY Mellon and Citi on tokenized deposits for this entire infrastructure.
🤔 Why is this relevant for NYSE and ICE?
It’s part of ICE’s broader strategy:
to transition traditional markets to 24/7 + blockchain-native.
That is, not “crypto wants to be Wall Street,”
but Wall Street becomes on-chain.
💡 The project still needs regulatory approval, primarily from the SEC.
Without this, the platform cannot launch.
💬 And yes, now the question is not “will Wall Street come to blockchain,” but who will do it at scale and legally first.🤭
