February 4, 2026, Indonesia's coal mines strengthen! Old Ma promotes solar energy with a surge!
February 4, 2026, Wednesday.
Yesterday’s Vogt Photonics, I can only say that the company’s announcement had some impact. The bidding opened at less than two points, and after a surge at the open, I chose to take profits.
Today, the strongest bidding was related to agriculture. After the market closed yesterday, the No. 1 agricultural policy document was released. Last night, I was thinking it would have been better if I had bought Denghai on that day. I selected Beidahuang, Dabeinong, Guotou Fengle, but after the opening, agriculture weakened, so I stopped watching.
Then basically, the top performers were non-ferrous metals, coal, oil, and natural gas. I wasn’t in a hurry to pick stocks because non-ferrous futures rebounded last night. In my view, these sectors have been generally on an upward trend. After the sharp decline in non-ferrous metals, there was some weakness in this sector, especially since many stocks just crawled out of the limit-down coffin. Later, coal became stronger and stronger. At that time, I was thinking if the market continues like this today, I might as well rest.
But then I saw Tonghuashun’s movement analysis of the coal sector, which mentioned that Indonesian coal mines are reducing capacity and suspending spot coal exports. Looking at it this way, coal still seems to be tradable.
I picked Dayou Energy, Yunmei Energy, Shanmei International, Lu’an Environmental Energy, and JinKong Coal. Yunmei Energy was in a limit-down state at that time, mainly waiting for a rebound, but later JinKong Coal surged higher, attracting my attention, so I didn’t notice Yunmei Energy’s rebound. Then JinKong Coal hit the limit-up directly.
Today, there are quite a few rotating sectors. Besides agriculture, non-ferrous metals, and oil in the morning, there were also power and photovoltaic sectors. Power was mostly in a rising and then falling state. The top gainers were mainly coal, which remained relatively strong, followed by the photovoltaic sector. I thought about the photovoltaic sector for a while, mainly because Space Photovoltaic performed strongly yesterday, and I expected it to consolidate today (though its subsequent strength was actually quite good). But I didn’t have much desire to open new positions (mainly because Vogt Photonics was doing well last night; if it continues to strengthen later, I might consider it).
Let’s see what tomorrow brings!
