Trump revealed a secret weapon in the operation against Maduro
American President Donald Trump confirmed in a recent interview with the New York Post that innovative weaponry was used during the detention of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in early January. According to Trump, this cutting-edge weapon was a key factor in the success of Operation “Absolute Resolve,” during which the security systems of the Venezuelan president were compromised. His comments came in response to recent CNN reports about the U.S. Department of Homeland Security purchasing a device potentially linked to the well-known “Havana Syndrome” phenomenon.
What is the new “Disorienter” weapon
Developed under the code name “Discombobulator,” this weapon represents a significant leap in military technology, claims the American leader. The weapon demonstrated high effectiveness in neutralizing Venezuelan-made military equipment, as well as Chinese and Russian weaponry used by Maduro’s security detail. According to eyewitness accounts of the operation, the deployed weapon produced an effect comparable to a powerful sound wave, capable of disorienting and incapacitating the enemy.
Mechanism of action and connection to Havana Syndrome
“Havana Syndrome” is a set of mysterious symptoms first recorded in 2016 among American diplomatic personnel in various countries. The phenomenon was named after complaints from U.S. embassy staff in Havana about unexplained noises, ear pain, pressure and vibration sensations in the skull, as well as dizziness and disorientation. One hypothesis links these symptoms to exposure to directed microwave radiation.
Sources claim that the new weapon operates on a similar principle, allowing selective impact on the opponent’s nervous system. During the operation, participants reported unexpected nosebleeds among Maduro’s security personnel, and some experienced vomiting blood. One witness described the sensations as if their head was “ripping apart from the inside,” although Trump refused to disclose additional technical details about the weapon’s mechanism of action.
How the weapon was used during Maduro’s capture
The operation to detain Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, took place on January 3 of this year. U.S. Delta Force specialists, using the innovative weapon, conducted a coordinated operation that resulted in the successful capture of the Venezuelan leader. According to official data from the Venezuelan Ministry of Defense, 83 people were killed during the operation. The detainees were transported to the U.S. Navy base in Guantanamo and later transferred to New York, where the first court hearing was held on January 5.
Charges and Maduro’s position
U.S. authorities have filed serious charges against Nicolás Maduro, including “narco-terrorism,” illegal possession of weapons, and trafficking Venezuelan diplomatic passports. The prosecution alleges that the Venezuelan leader headed the organized crime group Cartel de los Soles, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in the U.S., and conspired with Colombian drug cartels involved in the production and transportation of cocaine to international markets.
Maduro firmly denies the charges, claiming they are political cover for the U.S. attempt to gain control over Venezuela’s oil resources. The revelation of the secret weapon used in his detention has significantly intensified international debates over the methods and means employed in such a large-scale special operation, raising concerns in international legal circles about the use of new military technologies.
