The A-shares market is fundamentally about analyzing chips and chart patterns; it has never really changed. This is highly related to the underlying design itself. So if you stay calm enough, you’ll realize that when the panic or euphoria of chips isn’t strong enough, the market will only drift chaotically downward, and certainty will be very low. The key lies in timing—entering at the right moment. Even if you buy the wrong things, you can still have a good chance of winning if you do it at the right time. If you also have some short-term stock picking skills, you can be considered an expert. But if you understand what I’m saying, even if you can’t pick stocks, understanding the right timing makes a big difference. I believe that spending the year drifting along is definitely better than working a job.

The only difficulty in this game is that we live in real life. Many things in life can influence our psychological state, causing increased emotional fluctuations and making us forget the principle of timing. At such moments, failure becomes highly likely and unavoidable. So, in a sense, traders must learn to enjoy solitude—that’s the best way to calm emotions. I’ve always suspected that many people’s personalities are simply not suited for trading, and they end up wasting their years in this market.
