In terms of land area, Singapore has one of the largest and most technologically advanced air forces in the world. This island nation, covering only 736 square kilometers, is equipped with 40 F-15SG fighters and 60 F-16C/D fighters, and has ordered 20 F-35A fighters. Interestingly, Singapore's airspace is very limited, so many of the Singapore Air Force's aircraft and personnel are deployed overseas for extended periods, such as in the United States and Australia, where they conduct training. Singapore's founding father Lee Kuan Yew believed in defending the country with strength. Due to Singapore's small land area and population, it is easily targeted by neighboring countries, so it is essential to build a strong, advanced air force to deter potential aggressors.
