On February 5th, Airbus predicted in its latest Asia-Pacific “Global Air Service Market Forecast” report that by 2044, the total service demand in the region will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.2%, with the market value expected to reach $138.7 billion. This sustained growth will be driven by an increase in passenger traffic and fleet size. Over the next 20 years, the Asia-Pacific region will require 19,560 new aircraft, accounting for 46% of the global demand during the forecast period. The region is expected to remain the fastest-growing air travel market worldwide, with an annual passenger volume growth rate of 4.4%, higher than the global average of 3.6%. (Jiemian News)
