China Telecom and China Unicom approved for Beidou SMS
Recently, China Telecom and China Unicom officially received approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for the public commercial experiment of Beidou-3 short message services. This means that China Telecom and China Unicom users can send short messages via Beidou satellites using terminals that support Beidou messaging, without changing their SIM cards or phone numbers.
