Amazon is far ahead in artificial intelligence infrastructure spending, with projected capital expenditures reaching $200 billion in 2026, up from $131.8 billion in 2025, covering areas such as AI, chips, robotics, and satellites. Google follows closely, with expected expenditures of $175 billion to $185 billion in 2026, a significant increase from last year's $91.4 billion. Meta forecasts spending of $115 billion to $135 billion, while Microsoft's quarterly spending indicates an annualized expenditure of $150 billion, ranking third. Although these tech giants are investing heavily to secure future computing resources, investor reactions have been negative, leading to a general decline in their stock prices as they strive to balance ambitious AI expansion with financial stability.
