IT Home February 6 News, according to The Information, due to the industry-wide memory price increase leading to supply shortages and the company’s prioritization of AI chip capacity, NVIDIA will delay the release schedule of the RTX50 series SUPER graphics cards. As a result, the next-generation product line RTX60 series aimed at gamers will also be postponed, with mass production not expected to start until the end of 2027. This means that the series of graphics cards may not be launched until 2028 or even later.

The report also pointed out that NVIDIA is reducing the overall output of the existing RTX50 series gaming graphics cards, focusing resources on models with better sales and profit performance.

Meanwhile, AMD is also rumored to delay the release of its next-generation graphics cards until 2027 to wait for NVIDIA’s next-generation product developments. If the rumors about the RTX60 series delay are true, AMD may further adjust its new product release schedule.

In recent years, NVIDIA’s business focus has shifted noticeably from consumer-grade graphics cards to AI-related chips. Financial reports show that in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, the company’s $57 billion in revenue included $51.2 billion (IT Home note: current exchange rate approximately 355.85 billion RMB) from data center business. Although gaming revenue also increased during the same period, driven by the AI boom, its proportion of the company’s overall revenue continues to decline.
