BNB Chain has embarked on building a new economic system for artificial intelligence agents. According to reports from PANews, BNB Chain is deploying the ERC-8004 infrastructure on the BSC mainnet and testnet environments to realize an unprecedented “AI Agent Economy.” This innovative standard aims to establish a foundation of trust among autonomous AI agents and is designed to significantly enhance the security and reliability of the entire platform.

ERC-8004 Standard and Reputation Registration Mechanism

At the core of the new standard are two main component implementations. First, the identity registration feature allows each AI agent to obtain a unique digital identity on-chain, verifying its authenticity. Second, the introduction of a reputation registration system enables transparent recording of the overall trust history and performance evaluations of AI agents.

Realization of a Verifiable Reputation System

This reputation mechanism is a verifiable system directly integrated into the blockchain, characterized by the permanent on-chain storage of each agent’s past transaction history and execution results. When autonomous AI agents perform multiple transactions or interactions, their reputation scores are dynamically updated, allowing other agents and users to assess trustworthiness instantly. This is expected to make interactions among AI agents on BNB Chain safer and more efficient.
