OpenAI has released the official version of the agent development platform “Codex” for macOS. According to Foresight News, this platform is expected to provide users with an advanced multi-agent collaboration environment, significantly advancing work efficiency.

Optimization of Tasks through Multi-Agent Collaboration

The main feature of Codex is the ability to operate multiple AI agents simultaneously and manage each as an independent work unit. Users can utilize the task tree function to efficiently isolate and manage updates and changes for each agent. Furthermore, tools and specifications developed on the platform are modularized into reusable components, enabling the automatic delegation of recurring tasks to Codex through regular workflows.

Support for All Platforms and Expanded Access Methods

The macOS version is already available, and a Windows version is scheduled for release soon. Users will be able to access Codex directly through the free version of ChatGPT and the Go subscription. The diversification of access methods is expected to allow more users to benefit from this platform.
