According to the latest analysis from Russell Investments, the U.S. economy shows solid resilience entering the first quarter of 2026. BeiChen Lin, senior investment strategist at the firm, revealed in a report cited by Jin10 that despite many turbulent news at the beginning of this year, economic fundamentals remain in a fairly strong position.
The ongoing transition period marks a shift from robust growth momentum toward the potential for new acceleration. The main focus now is to observe whether the labor market expansion will extend into more cyclical sectors that are responsive to interest rate changes. Although the labor market conditions are no longer as hot as before, they still maintain significant strength, providing room for monetary authorities to adopt a cautious stance in policy this year.
