Bloomberg: After Standard Chartered Bank issued a warning, Bitcoin steadies during the Asian trading session
ChainCatcher reports that cryptocurrencies stabilized during Asian trading hours, according to Bloomberg. Previously, Standard Chartered Bank warned that Bitcoin could weaken further, while Coinbase, the largest U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, turned to a loss in the fourth quarter.
Bitcoin is currently trading above $66,000, after previously dropping 4% during the New York trading session to a low of $65,118, the lowest level this week. Standard Chartered warned that BTC could fall to $50,000 before a rebound, and the year-end target price was lowered to $100,000.
