Wang Yuyan, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, stated that by 2026, the federation will introduce a special plan to deepen the upgrade of “green agricultural inputs,” promoting the greening of agricultural products, efficient online networks, precise services, and digitalized circulation. Wang Yuyan said at the recent second plenary session of the eighth council of the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the system focused on its main responsibilities and core businesses to seek development, fully leveraging the main channel role of agricultural input circulation. Fertilizer supply accounts for 70% of the national total, and potassium fertilizer imports account for 40%, undertaking about 50% of the country’s commercial fertilizer reserves and 80% of provincial reserves. “We will continue to implement the special plan for building the agricultural input network system of the federation, accelerate the construction of national strategic agricultural input (reserve) warehouses, and strive to build or renovate about 20 national strategic agricultural input (reserve) warehouses and 239 county-level agricultural input distribution centers by 2026. During the 15th Five-Year Plan, approximately 100 national strategic agricultural input (reserve) warehouses will be newly built or renovated,” Wang Yuyan said. (Xinhua News Agency)
