The next-generation application entry point for AI Agents, not just an upgrade to tools
Many still consider AI Agents as "smarter chatbots," but in my view, they are more like the prototype of the next internet gateway. Over the past decade, the entry point to mobile internet has been apps, requiring users to switch between different applications; whereas the potential of AI Agents is to turn "searching for tools" into "delegating tasks." You no longer operate manually; instead, you tell it your goal, and it breaks down, executes, and provides feedback.
What’s changing behind this is the interaction logic. Humans shift from clicking interfaces to expressing intentions; from learning how to use software to making software understand what you want to do. Once this shift matures, it will significantly lower the barriers to using the digital world. Throughout technological history, every time the barriers lower, it leads to explosive user growth.
My core reason for being optimistic about AI Agents is not just the strength of the models, but their connectivity capabilities. They can leverage search, data, automation workflows, and even cross-platform collaboration. Future competition will not be about single-point intelligence but about "orchestration intelligence."
Of course, there are obvious short-term issues: stability, hallucinations, and permission security are still in early stages. But looking back at any technological revolution, the early days are always rough. What truly makes a difference is who first finds high-frequency, high-demand scenarios.
My judgment is: AI Agents won't revolutionize the world overnight, but within three to five years, they will quietly change the way we work. Just like cloud computing back then—no grand debut, but it reshaped the foundation of industries.
In summary: they are not about replacing humans but amplifying humans.
