According to data from the Comprehensive Transportation Spring Festival Travel Work Group, on February 3, 2026 (the second day of the Spring Festival travel period, the 16th day of the lunar December, Tuesday), the total cross-regional personnel flow in society was 184 million trips, a decrease of 0.5% compared to the previous period and a decrease of 0.2% compared to the same period in 2025. Among them: railway passenger volume was 10.946 million trips, a decrease of 10.5% from the previous period and a decrease of 1.8% compared to the same period in 2025. Road personnel flow (including non-operational private car trips on expressways and general national and provincial roads, and commercial road passenger transport) was 170 million trips, a 0.2% increase from the previous period and a 0.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Of these, commercial road passenger volume was 29.64 million trips, a decrease of 0.4% from the previous period and a 7.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025; private car trips on expressways and general national and provincial roads totaled 141 million trips, a 0.3% increase from the previous period and a 1.8% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Waterway passenger volume was 697,000 trips, a 4.5% increase from the previous period and a 39.7% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
