The Middle East coalition denounces Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement
On February 1st, eight foreign ministers from the Middle East and Asia jointly issued a protest statement against Israel. Representatives from Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which reportedly have caused the deaths of over a thousand Palestinian civilians according to Jin10 reports.
Eight Middle Eastern and Asian countries express collective concern
This joint statement reflects a rare unified stance among Middle Eastern nations regarding the situation in Gaza. The ministers emphasized that ongoing breaches of the truce constitute a direct violation of international commitments. Beyond the immediate humanitarian issue, these actions risk escalating geopolitical tensions across the region and undermining international community efforts toward peace consolidation.
Risks to the diplomatic process and regional stability
The eight countries expressed concern that continued violations could severely hinder ongoing political dialogue. According to their statement, these breaches undermine efforts to create a conducive environment for Gaza’s reconstruction and to establish a more stable situation. The Middle East community insists that without strict adherence to the agreed terms, the entire peace process could collapse.
Urgent calls to ensure progress of the peace plan
The foreign ministers reaffirmed the critical importance of mobilizing all involved parties to ensure the success of the second phase of the Gaza peace plan. This step is presented as crucial to turning the ceasefire into a sustainable solution. The declaration emphasizes that without full adherence to the agreements by all parties, long-term reconstruction and stabilization goals cannot be achieved.
