Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Miao Deyu Attends Iran National Day Reception

On February 9, 2026, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Miao Deyu was invited to attend the National Day reception hosted by the Iranian Embassy in China and met with Iranian Ambassador to China Faziri. Miao Deyu congratulated Iran on its National Day and stated that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the heads of state, China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership has achieved significant development. 2026 marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Iran and the 10th anniversary of establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership. China is willing to work with Iran to implement the consensus of the leaders and promote greater development in friendly cooperation between the two countries. In today’s world of complex upheavals, China is willing to work with all parties, including Iran, to uphold multilateralism, oppose unilateral hegemony, oppose pressure on other countries through military means, and jointly safeguard the international system with the United Nations at its core. Faziri thanked China for its valuable support on Iran’s national development path and expressed that Iran looks forward to deepening cooperation in various fields on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
