ZachXBT exposes Twitter scam groups, identity impersonation, and the "double trick" with Rug dump tokens
On-Chain Detective ZachXBT recently revealed a carefully orchestrated scam on the Twitter platform. The case involves an account named yuna, which impersonated a woman and fabricated a Trust Wallet hacking incident to massively attract community attention and engagement. This exposure serves as a reminder for the crypto community to stay vigilant against identity impersonation fraud.
False Narrative Behind the Trust Wallet Theft Case
According to ZachXBT’s investigation, the yuna account claimed that her Trust Wallet was hacked, resulting in a loss of approximately $300,000. This “victim” persona successfully garnered sympathy and attention from many community members. However, further investigation revealed that this so-called victim account was actually a carefully crafted scam persona designed to build trust and expand influence.
Frequent Identity Changes and Promotion of Numerous Scam Tokens
Even more shocking is the actual behavior record of the yuna account. Data from ZachXBT shows that the account repeatedly changed its username within a short period, with up to 44 name changes, each attempting to create a new identity and persona. During this time, the account promoted dozens of Rug Pull Meme tokens, all of which are classic carpet scams—project teams quickly exit after siphoning investor funds.
Crypto Community Needs to Enhance Vigilance
The danger of such scams lies in their construction of credible victim identities, leveraging community sympathy and willingness to help to direct users toward fraudulent projects. The ongoing exposure work by security researchers like ZachXBT is crucial for maintaining community safety, reminding users to verify the true identity and history of accounts before engaging.
