Recent changes in my thinking:
1. Brother Naozi used to think of himself as a piece of gold, always feeling that he wasn’t shining enough, not recognized by more people. He felt that everyone (these bunch of idiots) didn’t appreciate his worth, which made him jealous and resentful.
2. Recently, while reading Buffett, I suddenly reflected on myself and realized that Brother Naozi is indeed not a piece of gold at this moment. It’s not that others don’t see it, or that they don’t recognize value, but that Brother Naozi truly isn’t gold right now.
3. Brother Naozi discovered that he can become gold through continuous reading, learning, practicing, iterating himself, and refining himself, removing impurities and becoming pure gold. No one is born as gold. Munger said that Buffett at 90 is definitely smarter and wiser than Buffett at 70 because Buffett has turned himself into a learning machine.
4. Fantasizing that I am gold, but not being gold at the moment, this process is very contradictory and painful.
Change the mindset to: Accept the real me. I am not a piece of gold yet. I am still a beginner who needs constant iteration.
Thinking this way will be easier, and it will help Brother Naozi face himself more honestly and grow and improve happily.
5. Admitting that I am not good at this is really tough, brothers 😭. But facing objective facts and not living in my illusions is the beginning of progress.
