Armed attack kills over a hundred people, Nigerian president orders deployment of troops to the scene
On the evening of February 4th local time, Nigerian President’s spokesperson Bayo Onanuga issued a statement saying that President Tinubu has deployed one army battalion to Kaurara State to “suppress savage terrorists and protect unarmed communities.” According to reports, on February 3rd, multiple villages including Woro in Kyaama Local Government Area of Kaurara State in western Nigeria were attacked, with armed militants killing at least 162 people.
