Yemi Alade is a Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, and performer born on March 13, 1989, in Ondo State, Nigeria. She rose to fame after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009 and became internationally known with her 2014 hit song Johnny.


Yemi alade is know for her energetic performances and multilingual music, she has released successful albums like King of Queens and Mama Africa, she won Best Female Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2015 and 2016, and was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme in 2020, making her one of Africa’s most influential female music stars.
