If you've been in crypto for a year and haven't made 100K USDT, you really need to stop and reflect.
I've been in this market for 8 years and accumulated over 30 million USDT. Many people think it's based on luck, insider information, or connections, but it's not. What's really kept me alive in this market is a set of rules I've summarized after being beaten down by the market repeatedly. Today I'm laying out my core experience all at once. Remember these, and you can avoid at least 90% of the pitfalls.
First thing: Don't be greedy, don't go all-in.
With capital under 100K USDT, catching one major uptrend per year is enough. Trading too frequently will only result in bigger losses. There's also an iron law: good news is often a signal to exit, and if you don't exit that day, the next day's gap up is usually an escape opportunity. Reduce positions or go flat a week before holidays—many veteran players know that market conditions during this period are usually unfavorable. For medium to long-term positions, always keep cash reserves. Sell when prices are high, buy when they dip—that's how your account grows slowly but steadily.
Second thing: Read the rhythm of trading, not the hype.
For short-term trading, focus on just two things: volume and chart patterns. Only trade active coins with volatility; skip the dead ones. A slow decline usually means a slow recovery, while a sharp drop often leads to a quick bounce—many people miss this rule. For short-term trading, 15-minute candles are basically all you need. Pair them with simple indicators to find entry and exit points—much more reliable than guessing.
Third thing: Capital preservation is always number one.
Accept when you're wrong; stop losses must be decisive. The scariest thing in crypto isn't being wrong—it's holding through losses stubbornly. As long as your principal is intact, you always have a chance to turn it around. One more thing many people overlook: you don't need to learn too many techniques. Master one or two methods and that's enough. Learning too much usually leaves you unable to execute anything well.
I've always only traded with real money, no storytelling.
If you really want to step on fewer landmines in crypto and slowly build up your account, stop fumbling around alone.
