The endpoint of trading is obsession; technique has limits, but mindset does not. During subsequent trading, I discovered a fundamental problem: I was too fixated on a certain price level, which actually prevented me from trading it well. Later, I calmed down and researched this concept of "obsession." I found that when people know something will bring benefits, they develop obsession. To overcome this emotional state, I started with myself. Because I lacked love from childhood, I harbored fantasies about romance. So I entered relationships based on emotion. I interacted with different people, and to achieve optimal results, I would fixate on a particular advantage in each person and build the relationship around that. As contact time increased, I began testing: if I left her now, would she come back looking for me? Initially, the answer was yes—I did go back to her because the obsession was still there. As I repeated this experiment more times, I discovered a problem: every time I went back, it was because I had too much free time during that period, or there was nothing else I could do around me. After arriving at this theory, I began reflecting on the nature of obsession and discovered that people don't develop obsession when they lack nothing. Even when someone leaves, they won't. However, when you have nothing, you have plenty of time to reflect on a period, and faults that aren't yours. After gaining deep understanding of this matter, I began reflecting on trading and discovered that because I was fixated on proving myself, obsessed with wealth, obsessed with validation, I was operating at positions I shouldn't. I was fixated on win rate and risk-reward ratio. Later, seeing through the nature of obsession, I stopped all vague fantasies and no longer cared about others' opinions. I started living my own life and discovered that life is just this way: if the masses recognize something, it becomes right; if they don't recognize it, the numbers aren't sufficient. When the numbers are sufficient, I could defecate on the street because the masses recognize it, everyone recognizes it. Conversely, when no one recognizes something, it's wrong. So I stopped pursuing vague illusions and understood that this world has no absolute right or wrong. Obsession is merely being unable to let go of what you think is good for you. The world has no inherent right or wrong—say it enough times and it becomes right or wrong. The world has no inherent definitions—define it enough times and it becomes a definition. The world has no inherent obsessions—hold onto something you can't obtain and it becomes obsession. I stopped and lived my own life well. No one can define your life. There are no obsessions you can't let go of. Trading begins with obsession and ends with obsession, until one day you discover that obsession taught you many things but also blinded you to many things.
