I've noticed that in the crypto community, the word "worker" is often used, but not everyone understands what it means. I decided to clarify.
A worker is essentially a contracted employee in crypto projects. The term is borrowed from English, but in the Russian-speaking community, it has acquired its own meaning. So, who is a worker? It's a person hired to perform specific tasks within a team.
Typically, this scheme works like this: there is an investor with funds, but they don't have time for operational activities. So, they look for workers to handle various tasks. It could be marketing, moderation, development, or project management. Each worker is responsible for their part of the work.
This is a fairly common practice in the crypto community, especially in small projects or startups. People come together around an idea—one funds the project, others perform the tasks. This model allows for quick team assembly without long-term commitments.
Workers are essentially freelance crypto industry professionals, but with closer integration into the project. An interesting term that reflects the reality of the decentralized world.
