Iranian President's Open Letter to the American People: The Iranian People Have No Hostility Toward Other Countries
Jinse Finance reports that on April 2, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issued an open letter to the American people. The letter states that the Iranian people bear no hostility toward other countries; it is the United States that has assembled large numbers of military bases and military forces around Iran, creating a military threat to Iran. What Iran has taken—and will continue to take—is a response based on the right of lawful self-defense; it is absolutely not about starting a war or committing aggression. Raisi emphasized that the destructive impact of U.S. sanctions, war, and aggression on the lives of the Iranian people cannot be underestimated. Attacks on Iran’s vital infrastructure, including energy and industrial infrastructure, constitute war crimes. Raisi further questioned whether the United States’ current policies truly align with “America First.” He said that the United States has effectively become Israel’s proxy, striking Iran and that its policies are deeply influenced by and manipulated by the Israeli regime. Israel, in turn, tries to shift international attention from the crimes it has committed in Palestine by deliberately fabricating the “Iran threat narrative.” In addition, Raisi also invited the American public to break free from political talking points and to re-examine Iran’s past, present, and its vision for the future—a peaceful future built not on confrontation, but on truth, dignity, and mutual understanding.
