The UK has reached an agreement with the EU on the border rules for Gibraltar following Brexit.

Golden Ten Data on June 12, according to foreign media reports, the United Kingdom and the European Union reached an agreement on a new Brexit agreement, which will require Gibraltar (British Overseas Territory) to open its border with Spain, cancel passport controls with the European Union, and join the EU Customs Union. For the first time, Gibraltar will effectively join the EU’s Schengen passport-free zone, which means that the 15,000 people who travel to and from the border every day will be able to cross the border more smoothly. The European Union’s trade commissioner on Wednesday called the agreement a “truly historic milestone” that would remove “all physical barriers, checks and controls” for people and goods in transit, while bringing legal certainty.
