The ruling by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals means that during the Fed's policy meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday local time, Cook can temporarily remain at the Fed. The Trump administration is expected to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Additionally, on Monday local time, the Federal Reserve Board member nominee selected by Trump, Milan, received enough votes in the U.S. Senate for confirmation, allowing him to participate in the Fed's interest rate decisions this week alongside the other 11 voting members.
