PANews September 21 news, according to a report by Decrypt, a new survey from the Pew Research Center shows that Americans are increasingly uneasy about the penetration of artificial intelligence into their daily lives, with now half of them expressing more concern than excitement about the technology — a significant rise from 37% four years ago. A study conducted in June 2025 and released this week involving 5,023 American adults shows that while 73% of people are willing to let artificial intelligence assist with daily tasks, 61% want better control over how AI is used in their lives. Half of American adults feel that the increasing prevalence of AI in daily life makes them feel concerned rather than excited, with only 10% feeling excited rather than concerned. About 53% of respondents believe that AI undermines people's creative thinking abilities, while only 16% believe that AI enhances them. Half of the respondents think that AI will damage people's ability to form meaningful relationships, with only 5% expecting AI to improve interpersonal relationships.
