On July 7th, Jinshi Data reported that since the outbreak of the new round of Israeli-Palestinian conflict in October last year, 60% of the farmland in the Gaza Strip has been destroyed by the Israeli military. Officials from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations stated that if nearly 60% of the agricultural land in the Gaza Strip is destroyed, it could have a significant impact on food security and food supply. According to Agence France-Presse, in 2022, the Gaza Strip exported agricultural products worth 44.6 million U.S. dollars. After the outbreak of the new round of Israeli-Palestinian conflict in October last year, this number has dropped to zero. A United Nations report shows that currently, 96% of the population in the Gaza Strip is facing food insecurity, and one-fifth of the population is facing famine.
