Jin10 Data, July 16 - On July 15 local time, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Palestinian occupied territories, Albenese, condemned the United States as Israel’s number one arms supplier during the “Hague Group” meeting held in Colombia’s capital, Bogotá. She emphasized that the U.S. bears complicity in all of Israel’s actions and has implemented “mafia-style intimidation” against those trying to stop them. Albenese herself is currently under U.S. sanctions, with the U.S. citing her efforts to “promote legal actions by the International Criminal Court against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives” as the reason. The United Nations stated on July 10 that the U.S. action sets a “dangerous precedent” and is absolutely unacceptable.
