Ethereum futures volume has surpassed Bitcoin for the first time on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
According to ChainCatcher news and a report from Markets.com, the futures trading volume of Ether has surpassed Bitcoin for the first time on the CME, sparking speculation in the market about Ether entering a Supercycle. CME Director of Equity and Crypto Products Priyanka Jain pointed out that the volatility of Ether options is currently higher than that of Bitcoin, attracting more traders to enter the market and boosting futures activity. In July of this year, the open interest for ETH futures also surpassed BTC for the first time. Although BTC still dominates in terms of trading volume in USD, the participation in ETH derivatives is accelerating.
