According to TechFlow, on December 4, Cointelegraph reported that Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX released its annual report showing that users are shifting from the mindset of “cryptocurrency equals Bitcoin” to a more diversified portfolio allocation.

Data shows that users on average hold about 5 types of tokens, a significant increase from 2-3 in 2022. In terms of portfolio allocation, Layer 1 blockchain assets account for 43.3%, Bitcoin accounts for 26.5%, and meme coins account for 11.8%. The average user age is 32, with millennials dominating, far exceeding Gen Z.

CoinDCX co-founder Sumit Gupta said that cryptocurrencies have become a natural extension of traditional investments. The report also shows that female user participation has doubled year-on-year, and the investment range has expanded to other tokens such as Solana and Sui.
