ChainCatcher news: According to Decrypt, anonymous phone service provider Phreeli has launched in the US, allowing users to register with just a zip code, without requiring personal information or payment data.

Zcash co-founder Zooko Wilcox serves as an advisor and recommends the use of zero-knowledge access passes. Based on this, Phreeli has implemented the Double-Blind Armadillo zero-knowledge proof encryption system, which can verify billing without storing payment information. Users can pay with credit cards, Zcash, or Monero.

Phreeli founder Nicholas Merrill stated that the company aims to address the issue of excessive data collection by mainstream carriers. Phreeli was founded in 2019, raised $5 million in funding over the past year, and uses T-Mobile infrastructure.
