Aave Labs plans to deploy Aave V3 on the day of the MegaETH mainnet launch to accelerate early liquidity capture

Aave Labs has officially submitted a governance proposal, planning to deploy Aave V0 on Day 3 of the MegaETH mainnet launch to lock in early liquidity and meet strong lending demand. The proposal, released on December 8, restarted previous discussions about MegaETH deployment and updated the provisions with the participation of risk service providers.

Aave said that MegaETH is completing the construction of key infrastructure such as oracles, and as the mainnet approaches, the team believes that V3 should be deployed as soon as it goes live to convert early network activity into protocol use. The first-mover advantage will help Aave prioritize attracting lending and asset supply demand before liquidity is dispersed across multiple protocols.

The initial asset list for this proposal covers bridge and native assets. Bridge assets include BTC.b, ETH, USDM, etc., as well as synthetic and staked assets such as wstETH, rsETH, ezETH, USDe, and sUSDe. Native assets include MEGA, USDM-Y, and RBT. Chainlink is simultaneously building oracle support to ensure that the mainnet launches with key data feed capabilities.

In terms of incentives, Aave Labs will receive 30 million MegaETH points to incentivize users’ lending activities on MegaETH. Points are available through the interface and redeemed on the MegaETH platform at the end of each bi-monthly cycle, with KYC being a requirement for participating in rewards. In addition, MegaETH will allocate 6% of its total MEGA token supply to the KPI reward framework set by the Aave governance layer to support long-term collaboration between the protocol and the new L2 network, gradually unlocking tokens based on performance.

If the governance level reaches a consensus, the proposal will go to the snapshot voting and the final AIP process to determine the asset list, oracle address, and risk parameters.

The MegaETH ecosystem is currently expanding rapidly. The network launched a storage program of up to $250 million in November and expanded to $1 billion due to strong demand, further driving industry attention to its high-performance real-time L2 design. Aave is also accelerating iterations, including announcing the V4 roadmap, promoting the ERC-4626 vault structure, and releasing new savings applications for retail users.

As MegaETH is about to enter the production phase, the deployment of Aave V3 will be an important step in the ecological synergy between the two parties, laying the foundation for large-scale growth in 2026.
