JPMorgan Chase: Fed is expected to cut interest rates by 25bp, Powell maintains a cautious attitude

Odaily Planet Daily News Canada's Royal Bank continues to expect normalization rather than recession in the United States, and the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates by 25 basis points in September. The Fed's Summary of Economic Projections (SEP) is expected to show a median rate cut of 75 basis points this year, higher than the expected 25 basis points in July and in line with the bank's forecast. In addition, the bank believes that Fed Chairman Powell's comments may remain cautious, implying future rate cuts without committing to a predetermined path for greater flexibility in future decision-making.
